Jamie Campbell Bower!

So, as you’re all aware, Jamie Campbell Bower has been cast as Jace in in the City of Bones movie. And, even though some of you are upset about this, I’d like to point out that he’s an amazing actor. I really believe he’ll do justice to Jace’s character. The casting directors in movies can’t always please everyone, remember that! He’s a very talented guy, and he deserves a chance! There are plenty of people who think Jamie looks exactly like the Jace in their mind. We can’t officially declare someone “the perfect Jace” (ahem…except for Alex Pettyfer, because he’s obviously the perfect choice for every male, blonde character) or “the worst Jace”. Everyone has a different image in their mind when they read, that’s the beauty and magic of reading! Imagination! So when motion pictures start coming out, we have to prepare ourselves for an actor/actress who may look different from what we imagine. There’s always danger in making film adaptations of books, partially because of this. But I’d like to encourage you all to keep an open mind about the whole thing. I mean, when Josh Hutcherson was first cast as Peeta in The Hunger Games, I didn’t think he was the right choice. But of course, as time went on (and he started getting his Peeta hair), I grew to love him! Now I don’t think there’s anyone else who should be Peeta. So, just give it time, fellow fans. It’s really too early to make any harsh judgements.

I’d also like to point out how unbelievably cool Jamie is! He’s been involved in other fandoms’ movies, too! Both the Twilight and Harry Potter fandoms are familiar with Jamie. He plays Caius in Twilight, a member of the Volturi. And in Harry Potter, he plays young Gellert Grindelwald!

Jamie also has another connection to the Harry Potter fandom.

He’s going to be the husband of Bonnie Wright (plays Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter films)!

That’s right. These two are engaged. Now, how freaking rad is THAT?!

If you want to check out his acting, you can catch him in the TV show ‘Camelot’. And in his other films, including Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, amongst others.

Here’s a short interview for MTV in which Jamie talks about his TMI audition!

What are your opinions on Jamie?

The Fans are hard, but these are no ordinary Fans.
